often within complex networks you have to use proxy servers to connect to a specfic server. and the question is if i'm somehow able to manage a proxy setting (like IE Proxy settings Tools-> Internet Options -> Connections -> Lan Settings -> Proxy Server) for various connections.

Ok, I could take a look at this. Would you like to be able to setup proxy settings for a specific monitor at the time, or for the hole application at once?

hi, it should be possible to configure this for each item individually.
here only one of 2 examples:

4 frontend servers (zone 1 - proxy A)
3 backend servers (zone 2 - proxy B)
2 DB servers (zone 3 - proxy C)

the network environemnt is very strict, which has its positive but also negative aspects. each zone needs it's own configuration to connect to it direclty.

Hi
This is a fast test implementation, but let me know if it works as you want it.
http://www.codeplex.com/WebMonitor/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=19218

It is not possible to use an IP address directly, you need to put in an URI in the Address field.

To setup proxy, right click a monitor -> Edit -> Proxy tab.

*Known bugs*
- As it is now, the proxy settings will not be exported when you export your monitor list.

Please let me know what you think and if it works.
